Cypress Village is one of the courses in the area with nine holes that surround the Cypress Village Center. Cypress Village Center is where the Sugarmill Woods Country Club is located. Members of the Country Club can enjoy tennis, swimming, and a great meal at the in-house restaurant. For serious golfers, they can shop from the club’s pro shop.

For those that like to exercise, Oak Village Center has a 24/7 fitness center that contains grass and clay tennis courts and a swimming pool. If you want tennis lessons, you can take them here. If tennis isn’t your thing, then the Southern Woods Golf Club, a privately owned club, has much of what the Sugarmill Woods Country Club does.

At various points throughout the year, the two Country Clubs sponsor dinners for members and guests. Factor in the Shoppes of Sugarmill Woods and you have a variety of shopping opportunities to go with the events and dining options.

If you are looking for more to do, Sugarmill Woods is close to the Chassahowitzka River Campground and the Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge. There are a number of activities in these areas to enjoy, especially if you are a nature lover or what to see animals in the wild. You can see even more at the Citrus Wildlife Management Area.

But, of course, there is the fact that Sugarmill Woods is close to the Gulf Coast, which means beaches and Pine Island is the perfect place to enjoy the sea and some sand. It’s just a short 32-minute drive.
